Glossier’s Influencer Program is called a “rep program” and it gives loyal customers the ability to apply for ambassadors of the brand. If they do this, then they get merch and products to “influence” others. If they sell products, they get a commission! Sounds fun right?

Glossier has many diverse partnerships and relatable influencer partnerships. This means that they aren’t using supermodels to represent their brand. From beauty bloggers to everyday makeup users, and makeup artists, these individuals influence others every day, on TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, and even Pinterest.

Have you ever heard of a “get ready with me”? Well if you haven’t, it is a content strategy influencers use where they walk followers through the process of getting dressed and putting on makeup from start to finish. This is one of the main types of influencer content used in the Glossier product.

Glossier Influencers also use affiliate marketing in which the influencers will give out personalized codes for discounts and links in their bios to get to the Glossier page to buy what they are using! This shows the effectiveness of the influencer and it even makes it easy for the customer to get to the exact product! I have fallen into that trap many times.

Community engagement is HUGE in any sort of product and business. Glossier actually uses the engagement from the customers watching the influencers to fix their product and actually listen, unlike many other brands. The “Milky Jelly Cleanser” was actually made based off of the community engagement in an influencer’s post! If I was being listened to I would surely use the product more and more.
