Facebook Marketing Tips

Facebook is a great way to get the word out about your business or to show current consumers what your business has to offer such as new products or services. The reason behind that is even people who don’t really like Facebook still use it to stay in touch with family and friends. Once your videos are uploaded they can get shared and people can get tagged in the comments to view your videos. Once your Facebook brand takes traction people will quite literally share your videos and events page to their family and friends for free advertising.

  • 1. FaceBook Live Facebook offers the ability to go live and use events to engage your customer base. Some great ways to use Facebook Live include giving a tour, displaying a new product or current product, host a Question and Answers session, and teach viewers about how to use a product. Businesses can use Facebook live to show consumers a unique quality, product, or service that they offer. Going live on Facebook has a slightly lower rate than a Youtube live, but more people are actively on Facebook everyday. Long after you record your Facebook live it can still be viewed. If you select the option it will allow you to keep your video up indefinitely. You also get to choose a good thumbnail for your video and edit it after the live is over. You can also boost your video up in the feed for more people to see. A good example of a business using Facebook live would be Starbucks when they went live about voting. The CEO of Starbucks appeared with a rapper in New York, and they talked about the importance of voting. Towards the end of the live they had a questions read from the live comments section that they answered.
  • 2. Facebook Watch Another great option Facebook offers is called Facebook watch. It lets you upload videos without going live. So while less people might see it in the beginning, it lets you script a video, and make it as close to perfect as you can get it. This is also a good option to have if you have a schedule of video postings that you are doing. You can keep your schedule by posting a pre-recorded video instead of a live video. Facebook Watch is also a good way upload long complex parts that sometimes might be too complicated to go into a facebook live. For examples, showing a tour of your whole company across multiple geographies.. Pre-recording videos also lets you control things like the background or editing to keep bloopers out of the video, resulting in more professional and uniform looking videos. A good example of a company using Facebook Watch is Mercury Marine. Mercury has released a new product and they used facebook watch to give everyone a quick glimpse of what it looks like and ideas of what you could be done with this motor in your arsenal.
  • 3. Facebook Events Lastly Facebook also lets you schedule Facebook events to see if the public want attend or if they have any interest in attending your event. Facebook will let you make announcements about an event, and you can also invite people individually. A Facebook event can be just about anything, not just an in person meeting of people. Some examples of a Facebook event can include webinars, in person events, or online auctions just to name a few examples. My favorite type of business that has began to use Facebook events are museums. It is a great way for museums to reach a younger audience, and proves how valuable marketing tools like Facebook can be. The best example of this is Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset, England. They schedule a Facebook event every year that brings thousands of people from all over the world called Tiger Day. I actually found out the museum existed because of an event that was shared on a forum I am in. The event consists of them driving a several tanks around a track starting with the rarest one in the world the only running tiger Tank in the world. The event shows just how far technology has come in the last 100 years. The tank museum uses Facebook events to show the world what they have to offer, and what they have to offer can’t be found anywhere else on the planet.

In concluding Facebook is a valuable tool to help grow your business and engage your audience. Which can lead to reasonable growth if managed correctly. There are numerous companies that have already proven that facebook’s worth as a marketing platform. I have just listed a couple of my favorite instances as examples.
