Tess Barclay
Tess.Barclay is a content agency owner in Toronto who brings her work knowledge and experience to her TikTok with 142,000 followers. She has worked with over 500 content creators and has great suggestions on how to increase user engagement.
She has a method called the “Busy Blooming” method where it only takes three months to grow your social media. She heavily focuses on understanding your followers and making everything outward-based. When posting content it is important to make things about the viewer to keep them involved and want to come back. She also focuses on building her brand, not just the content. She says that to grow and be successful you need a strong foundation first which requires knowing what you want to achieve and what you want your brand to be. After you have established your brand, then you can decide what kind of content to actually create. Another great way she engages with her audience is she emphasizes how important it is to be confident and “embrace the cringe” aspect of content creation. It is okay to be weird and feel awkward at first, it’s natural!
Tess’s outlook and enthusiasm for content creation is refreshing and I know I would want to take a page out of her book.
Justine
Justine’s Camera Roll has been growing on TikTok and honestly just keeps it real. She has over 200k followers and shares all the tips and tricks on how she got there.
Her content is not strictly focused on helping her followers grow their own social media accounts. Her content ranges from videos where followers “get ready with me” (GRWM) and clothing hauls. One of her most recent “behind the scenes” of content creation was her experience at the Tarte brand trip. She walked us through how she got there, what she got as a guest on the brand trip, and the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) aspects of the trip. This gives viewers insight into what life as an influencer could be like for them.
Something that caught my attention was her use of AI in her growth process. She had ChatGPT create a content schedule for her and she followed it exactly. To my surprise, it was a success. She created a series called “from scratch to success” which is important because this keeps viewers coming back to watch the series, resulting in more profile views.
In general, if you’re looking to grow your audience and account, JustinesCameraRoll is a great account to follow and use as inspiration.
Mila Jaye
MilaJaye has a TikTok account solely focused on content creation and adapting it to your audience. She explains different methods of content creation and which are most beneficial to content growth. She has 285k followers and continues to grow from eager viewers.
She continually practices Tess Barclay’s concept of externally focusing your language to increase engagement. She grows her own account by doing this while also sharing tips with her views. She gives useful advice on what to post and what not to post.
One of the things she touches on is the TikTok algorithm. It constantly is changing and it is important to understand the algorithm before posting. She walks you through the steps of viewer engagement. She does a great job explaining how views on a video can have a slow pickup range due to everyone’s own personal for-you pages. She explained it from the viewer’s perspective which made it a lot easier to grasp the concept of low views.
Jaye has a view on content creation that is different than a lot of other creators. She says “likes do not matter!” I was fascinated by this take because I think we all judge a post by how many likes it has. Her point specifically was you can have a “viral” video with a lot of likes but that doesn’t necessarily grow your account as a whole. Profile views is mainly what we are looking for when wanting to grow your profile.
I find myself in a “TikTok hole” when watching Jaye’s videos because she makes me think of things I would have never thought or tried for my own account.

These 3 creators are constantly growing and showing viewers how to grow themselves. The concept of “gatekeeping” is nowhere to be found when watching these creators and that is a rare quality to possess. Make sure to check them out and grow your profiles!
